Tour Montgomery County’s HHW/H2R/Electronics Recycling Center


Join us at 10 am on Thursday, July 11 for a tour of Montgomery County’s Hazardous Waste/Hard to Recycle and Electronics Recycling programs housed at the Shady Grove Transfer Station in Derwood, MD.

Jeff Camera, the Chief of the county’s Resource Conversion Section will walk us through the process by which they collect, sort, and recycle a wide range of materials collected from their residential recycling programs via curbside and drop-off. This program helps drive the county’s successful effort to shift its waste management focus to reduction and recycling and further exceed the State’s recycling goals.
