Maryland Recycling Network Announces 2026–2027 Board of Directors

The Maryland Recycling Network (MRN) announced its 2026–2027 Board of Directors following the June 2 election at its annual meeting during the 2026 Conference.

Members elected Michele Blair (City of Laurel) as president and Rebecca Culler (Maryland Environmental Service) as vice president, and re-elected Tony Drury (Washington County) as secretary/treasurer. The officers were also re-elected to a two-year term as directors.

The MRN Board consists of 17 members representing local and state government, private industry, nonprofit organizations, and citizens across Maryland.

This year’s election included 10 directors with three new members joining the board: Gina Van De Walle (Howard County), Trey Davis (Community Forklift), and Regina Cagle Irr, P.E. (EA Engineering, Science, and Technology). An additional seven directors will continue into the second year of their terms, providing continuity and experience.

The MRN Board advances the organization’s mission to promote waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and sustainable materials management across Maryland. Board members provide strategic direction, strengthen stakeholder collaboration, and help shape programs that support environmental and economic goals.

As MRN expands its impact, it remains focused on building partnerships, supporting local governments and businesses, and educating residents about sustainable practices. The incoming board will play an important role in advancing these priorities and strengthening Maryland’s recycling network.

MRN congratulates its 2026–2027 Board of Directors and thanks members for their commitment to a more sustainable Maryland.

Board terms run July 1 - June 30.
