As part of EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge, organizations pledge to improve their sustainable food management practices and report their results. The FRC is part of EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management Program (SMM). Maryland firms, Sodexo and FoodBridge were among the 2019 challenge winners.

On Tuesday, May 14, EPA Sustainability Coordinator Luke Wolfgang shared the parameters of this innovative program and showed us how area firms are helping meet a national goal to reduce food waste to landfill by 50% by 2030.
