From its humble beginnings in the late 1980s picking up newspaper in a Volkswagen bus and an eight-foot trailer to a full-service, non-profit recycling facility, Infinity Recycling, Inc. has grown into a respected organization serving communities in Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, and Talbot counties.
The Maryland Recycling Network held its 2021 Board of Directors election at the MRN Annual Meeting at 4:30pm on Wednesday, June 23. MRN members voted to approve a slate of 17 members and represent a broad base of county and municipal government agencies, private businesses and corporations, and private citizens.
Revision 2021 is over and despite the challenges of hosting an online conference, we had some great conversations about the challenges the industry has faced and where we can go from here. A huge thank you to all who attended, especially to our sponsors and exhibitors!
The 2021 Maryland Legislative session is in the books and once again, MRN has been involved in several relevant bills working with legislative members and other organizations offering support, making recommendations and testifying where needed.
National Volunteer Week is next week and we can’t think of a better time to sincerely thank all our volunteers that have kept MRN up and running especially after a difficult year.
