Recycling in Our Schools and Local Community Buildings: Are We Reaching the Next Generation?
  • StudentsHow well is your school training the next generation of recyclers?
  • Are the recycling concepts taught in the classroom reflected and reinforced in the hallways, on the sports fields, in the cafeteria, on the parking lots…?
  • Are our students taking these habits home and into the community?

Whether you teach recycling in your classroom, manage recycling on the school grounds, administer recycling programs in the school office or support school recycling as a municipal or county recycling coordinator, please join us for a free webinar at 11:30am on Thursday, May 18 to explore ideas and options you can use to address these critical questions.

Andrew Cassilly, Resource Conservation Manager for Harford County Public Schools and winner of the Innovator of the Year Award from the Maryland Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council in 2012, will lead us in a conversation around the changing culture of recycling and share the key lessons he has learned as a teacher, administrator and facilities manager.

We hope that by bringing all the key players into this discussion, we’ll better understand how we can deliver a coordinated, consistent message to our students and community leaders that ensures they cherish our natural resources and become lifelong advocates for a healthy environment.
